Where First City looks back to ancient creators, Pursuit looks fiercely forward to cosmic dominance. Positioned along a mineral-rich crater chain in Aballon’s southern hemisphere, Pursuit is the industrial defense capital of the planet and the premier stronghold of the expansionist anacite faction known as Those Who Become.
The philosophy of Pursuit is simple and aggressive: if the anacites are to fulfill their destiny of becoming the “New First Ones,” they must possess the technology, military strength, and industrial capacity to explore and defend their place among the stars. Consequently, the skyline of Pursuit is dominated by titanic smelting foundries, testing grounds for heavy plasma weaponry, and automated assembly cradles producing military voidframes for the Pact Worlds.
Armor and weapons forged in Pursuit are legendary across known space for their mathematical perfection, heat tolerance, and modular design. The city also maintains significant commercial contracts with off-world defense leagues, supplying the armored bulkheads for Stewards cruisers and the heavy kinetic railguns utilized on Absalom Station.
Campaign Hooks
- The Prototype Voidframe: An experimental, self-evolving combat frame developed by Becomer artificers in Pursuit goes rogue during a live-fire test in the basalt plains. The PCs are hired to track and disable the machine before it reaches the civilian perimeter of Striving.
- The Smuggling Sting: Stewards intelligence discovers that corrupt corporate brokers are illegally diverting military-grade plasma cannons manufactured in Pursuit to void-corsairs in The Diaspora. The party is brought in to trace the supply chain.
