Overview: The Powerhouse of the Inner Void

Positioned at the eastern terminus of the Sun-Gutter—the massive, equator-spanning solar collection trench that cuts across Aballon—lies Endeavor, the undisputed energy heart of the machine world.

While other megaplexes forge armor or debate philosophy, Endeavor has a single, colossal function: capturing, converting, and distributing the staggering thermonuclear energy radiating from nearby Mataras. Through millions of square miles of photovoltaic collector fields, liquid-sodium heat exchangers, and particle accelerators, Endeavor channels petawatts of power into Aballon’s subterranean industrial grids.

Furthermore, Endeavor operates massive orbital power-masers that transmit tightly focused, wireless microwave energy beams to orbital relay satellites, solar refineries in The Burning Archipelago, and interplanetary freight stations throughout the inner system.

Campaign Hooks

  • The Grid Inversion: A massive solar flare from Mataras overloads Endeavor’s primary capacitor banks, triggering an emergency power cascade that threatens to vaporize the Sun-Gutter Terminus. The PCs must brave lethal radiation fields to manually trip the emergency superconducting breakers.
  • The Energy Piracy: Orbital sensors detect clandestine spaceborn siphon-probes tapping into Endeavor’s wireless power beams, diverting millions of gigawatts of energy to an unmapped asteroid base in The Diaspora. The Central Grid Authority hires the PCs to trace and sever the illegal siphon.
